本イベントは General Museum のプロジェクトの一環として、近隣のハラール・スーパーマーケットの店主と数日にわた り協働し、スーパーマーケットという場の概念や、日本のローカルコミュニティと移民コミュニティの関係性を探った。店 舗内には、バングラデシュ出身の店主と私の対話を記録した映像を設置し、日本語・英語・ジェスチャーを交えながら、スー パーマーケットをコミュニティ空間として捉える視点を共有した。
This event, part of the General Museum project, involved several days of collaboration with the owner of a nearby halal supermarket to explore the idea of the supermarket and address relationships between Japan’s local and immigrant communities. A video installed in the shop documented a dialogue between the Bangladeshi-born shopkeeper and me, in which we discussed the supermarket as a communal space, communicating in Japanese, English, and gestures.
